Big Dyna
1995 Toyota Dyna “200” BU73
This 1995 Toyota Dyna 200 chassis code BU73, which we affectionately call “big dyna” is an absolute unit. The Big Dyna started it’s life as a fire truck in Japan, but upon importing it we removed the PTO driven pump apparatus and all associated hardware and fire truck body-work. We replaced the rear section with an aluminum tray from UTE LTD, and installed new LED taillights. Stockton wheel of California fabricated a set of 5 custom heavy duty “super-single” wheels in 17x8. We wrapped these burly wheels in Yokohama Geolander M/T 255/80/17 tires. Cyclefab here in Seattle hand crafted the specialty oversized lug nuts that allow these super singles to work on this vehicle. Flipside customs of Renton built the front bumper, rear bumper with integrated heavy duty tow hitch, full stainless exhaust, bed hoops, and side steps. Bumpers, wheels and lug nuts were powdercoated by Seattle Powdercoat for a long lasting finish. Spring packs were custom built by Aalbu Brothers of Arlington and front shackles from Specter Off Road were installed. The shock absorbers were replaced with Bilstein B8 5100 at all four corners. The spare sits on a Rough Country spare tire carrier with custom HDPE bumpers.
This Dyna is equipped with Toyota's selectable 4x4 system with low range and a 5 speed manual transmission for that rugged and dependable go-anywhere experience. The mileage is incredibly low at 18,500 km’s or just 11,500 fleet maintained miles. It is powered by Toyota’s venerable 14B diesel engine. These engines are bulletproof, and often are seen with 500,000+ kms with no rebuild.
Inside you'll find seating for 5, but the rear seating area has plenty of room for even the chonkiest of boyz, or maybe even a build out.
In addition to the outfitting, the entire vehicle received our attention and not a single service item was deferred.
