1997 Hiace UZH138 V8 Ambulance

This 1997 Toyota Hiace UZH 138 super-long-wheelbase ambulance is the absolute unicorn of the hiace world. This extremely rare vehicle fixes the achilles-heel with the available hiace models, POWER. The UZH138 is powered by the venerable, world renowned, 1UZ-FE 4.0 liter DOHC V8. I’ll say it again, V8. Say good-bye to the slow lane. It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission for easy driving. This Hiace is equipped with Toyota's full time 4wd / 4x4 system for that go-anywhere van-life experience. Mileage clocks in around 73,000 km’s or 45,000 miles. These engines are bulletproof, and often are seen with 500,000+ kms with no rebuild.
Inside you'll find seating for 6, but the super long wheelbase and high roof are perfect for your DIY build-out. There’s even pressure water, an inverter, a rooftop vent fan, and tons of interior lighting and storage options to get you started. It is also equipped dual zone A/C and heat to keep you comfortable in all conditions. The windows are sliders on the passenger side, which is far more practical than pop-outs. The front seats were upgraded to later-model KZH106 super custom seats, which are far more comfortable, but pair well with the factory interior. It also has power windows and locks. This vehicle is equipped with ABS.
This 1997 Hiace rides on new Toyo Open Country A/T III tires, including a full size wheel and spare tire, and upgraded OZ Rally wheels. It is lifted 2" with a Roamer lift kit and Blistein B6 high end off road shocks, and Roamer extended rear sway bar endlinks, for extra ground clearance and added capability. There’s not a single part of the suspension which was left untouched; each of the bushings were replaced.
